Lion Breeding Farm - Kaya Inkanyana Kanon Kopje
A hill, which commands fine views of the Barolong village.
The name dates back to the days of conflict between the
Tshid Barolong and the Boers in 1882.
It is a defensive Fort built during the Warren expedition during the Anglo-Boer war of 1899 - 1902.
Mafikeng Museum
Housed in the old Town Hall, Mafikeng Museum features many reminders of the Siege of Mafikeng.
Items on the Barolong people and Bushmen (San) are featured in the museum.
Mmabatho Botanic Park
This attractive park with a Victorian theme specialises in the indigenous Flora of South Africa, divided into five plant regions.
St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church
Designed by Sir Herbert Baker, the church was built in 1903.
An inscription on the foundation stone reads :
"To the glory of God and in memory of those who died during
the Siege of Mafikeng, and as an act of thanksgiving for the
relief of the town."
