# Enter the Splendido Poker Series Tournaments at MonteCasino

Once again, Gauteng’s leading entertainment resort, [MonteCasino](https://www.southafricancasinos.co.za/casino-resorts/montecasino.html) has partnered with ShuffleUp Poker, considered the number one provider of poker tournaments in Africa.
The result? The Splendido Poker Series with an estimated prize pool of R18 million!
Satellites for the series kicked off on Friday, and the entire tournament will run until Sunday, November 6th.

## Official Tournament Schedule
The tournament will comprise eight different events, as follows:
- Super High Roller (R60K buy-in)
- October Fest Re-buy – R1 million guaranteed prize pool (R3K buy-in, R3K re-buy, R3K add-on)
- Mystery Bounty (R4K buy-in, R4K add-on)
- One-Life Top-Up (R5K buy-in, R5K lifeline)
- Mega High Roller – R1 million guaranteed prize pool (R30K buy-in)
- Super Satellite – 10 Main Event seats guaranteed (R1.5K buy-in, R1K re-buy, R1K add-on)
- Main Event – R2.5 million guaranteed prize pool (R12.5K buy-in)
- Turbo (R3K buy-in, R3K add-on)
## About Shuffle-Up
Shuffle-Up Poker was established by current CEO Gary Lentin in 2005. Since then, the group has successfully run three World Series of Poker events from 2010 to 2012. After that, Shuffle-Up transitioned to the World Poker Tour and became the only WPT license holder in Africa.
In 2021, Shuffle-Up and MonteCasino announced a partnership, through which the Splendido Poker Series is run exclusively in the 3Sixty Lounge. Satellites for the tournament are held in the MonteCasino Poker Lounge.

Some of the events run by Shuffle-Up Poker in the past include the Sun City Million Dollar Poker tournament, the World Poker Tour at Emperors Palace, and events at Emerald Casino. Shuffle-Up Poker also hosted the first ever WSOP Africa.

## Poker Tournament Terms and Conditions:
- Seats won for an individual event at the satellites are not transferrable for cash or to another player.
- Rules of poker games are those of No Limit Texas Hold’em Poker as per the rules of the Poker Handbook.
- Players may not talk on the phone around the table.
- English-only will be enforced during play of hands in all satellites and tournaments.
- Players must register and secure a seat in an any of the satellites or tournament events by contacting MonteCasino and making a deposit of the buy-in and entry fee.
- The tournament is only open to players of 18 years of age and older.
