# Playtech Brings New Software Partner Onboard

Leading gambling software and technology group, Playtech, which provides games to multiple [South African online casinos](https://www.southafricancasinos.co.za/../), has signed a partnership deal with fellow software provider, Playson. The content distribution deal will see some of Playson’s top titles, including Rome: Caesar’s Glory and Solar Queen, become available on POP (the Playtech Open Platform). The games will be rolled out on Playtech’s global network, under the terms of the agreement.
The director of Playtech, James Frendo, commented that Playson’s games are hugely popular in the industry, and Playtech is thus delighted to add its “burgeoning portfolio” to POP.

Also commenting was Playson’s chief executive officer, Aleksander Ivshin, who said that Playtech is one of the industry’s largest software development companies, and Playson is thrilled to have partnered with them. As Playtech operates in every key market, Ivshin predicted that this strategic deal is sure to open up exciting opportunities in the months and years to come.
### New Playtech Chairman
In the meantime, Playtech announced that it has appointed an interim chairman, effective May 20th. Claire Milne will replace Alan Jackon, who said recently that he would not be standing for re-election.
According to Playtech, Milne has agreed to receive a reduced remuneration package of GBP 232,000. This is in line with the decision made by all executives to reduce their pay by 20% during the time of COVID-19.
Due to the pandemic, Playtech will not be appointing a permanent chairman at this time. The virus has effectively brought international travel to a halt, which would not allow a new chairman to properly get to know the new business and it meet with senior management around the world.
“The impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic has led us to temporarily pause the final stages of our recruitment process,” said Milne. “I am very pleased to have been asked to act as interim chairman and will look to provide the necessary continuity ahead of the process concluding.”
