SA Couple Embarks on Finnish Adventure Following Record Powerball Win

A man from Pretoria and his wife are embarking on a journey to Finland to witness the spectacular Northern Lights, following his extraordinary win of R60.8 million in the Powerball. This remarkable victory marks the largest win and payout to an individual by a South African bookmaker to date.

The winner, known only as "Mr. F", expressed his disbelief upon hearing the news. "I couldn't believe the news! Maryke [Haywood, head of Marketing at Lottoland asked me if I was sitting down before she announced the R60.8 million win. I was trembling," he recounted.

Mr. F has been a patron of Lottoland, placing bets on various major global lotteries since 2020. His preference for the Lottoland platform is evident, especially his fondness for the German Lotto. Interestingly, he had won R15,000 in the previous week, but it was the Powerball that led to his staggering win this time.
